Litigation & Dispute Resolution

Our client's Sydney Litigation & Dispute Resolution team is market-leading, made up of nationally regarded partners who have extensive experience in the industry. The team cover's the full gamut of disputes including contractual disputes, directors' duties', shareholder disputes, schemes of arrangement, securities litigation, defamation, regulatory investigations, and white-collar crime. Independent legal directories regularly acknowledge the team as leaders in their field.

Position Description 

This role will see you practice in all spheres of commercial and corporate dispute resolution, working most closely with a pre-eminent litigator. Whilst the experience you will gain in this role will be broad, there will be a focus on large corporate-related disputes.The team acts for public and private sector clients, including financial services and commercial property companies.

On offer is the opportunity to act for numerous clients in complex litigation, disputes, and regulatory investigations, across a whole range of issues. In this role you will:
  • prevent and resolve disputes by providing clients with practical, creative legal advice that focuses on their strategic and commercial objectives;
  • utilize alternative means of dispute resolution (including mediation and arbitration); and
  • take an active role in shaping case strategy and dispute management.

You will be a lawyer with two to seven years' experience in commercial litigation. Ideally, you will have experience acting for large corporate entities. 

In addition, you will: 
  • have strong attention to detail with well-developed analytical skills;
  • ability to work in a team as well as autonomously; and
  • a strong commercial acumen.
