We're representing a leading Australian law firm, with a strong Sydney presence and a highly regarded corporate litigation team. 
The firm comprises of over 1,200 lawyers across the Australian market, providing a suit of exceptional legal services to their clients.

Commercial Litigation Team

The firm's Litigation team is widely regarded as a leading practice of it's kind in the country. The team has a reputation for undertaking the most complex, significant and high-profile matters, and delivering excellent results for their clients, with the Sydney team consisting of several practitioners recognised in Chambers Asia-Pacific, The Legal 500 and Best Lawyers.
You'll be servicing a diverse range of clients across industries, joining a high-performing team and working on some of the most significant matters in the Australian market.

Position Description
On offer is the opportunity to act for numerous clients in both complex commercial and intellectual property litigation, disputes and regulatory investigations, across a whole range of issues. In this role you will:
  • prevent and resolve disputes by providing clients with practical, creative legal advice that focuses on their strategic and commercial objectives;
  • utilise alternative means of dispute resolution (including mediation and arbitration), and;
  • take an active role in shaping case strategy and dispute management.

The successful candidate will have between 5 - 10 years’ experience in a first-tier firm working across a range of litigious and contentious matters. 

In addition, you will have:
  • extensive commercial litigation experience (IP specialists are desirable);
  • superior communication skills (both written and verbal);
  • excellent drafting ability and analytical skills;
  • the ability to be team-focused and work independently;
  • a developing commercial awareness; and 
  • outstanding academic background.
