One of our clients is currently in need of an experienced Data Scientist to join their fast-growing team.
  
As a recognised leader in the cybersecurity space, our client helps Governments and fortune 100 companies leverage insider threats, stop data loss. ROLE

Our client is looking for someone who has a combination of hands-on analytics expertise and acumen to solve business problems using quantitative methods. The ideal candidate will be intricately involved in running analytical experiments in a methodical manner, and will regularly evaluate alternate models via theoretical approaches. 
  
  
Here are some of the things you might be doing: 
  
  • Research and develop statistical learning models for data analysis
  • Collaborate with product management and engineering departments to understand company needs and devise possible solutions
  • Communicate results and ideas to key decision-makers
  • Implement new statistical or other mathematical methodologies as needed for specific models or analysis
  • Optimise joint development efforts through appropriate database use and project design
  
YOU
  
  • Bachelors/Master’s degree in computer science, statistics, applied maths or related field.3 years of practical experience with SAS, ETL, data processing, database programming and data analytics.
  • Proficient in analyzing data using industry standard tools (e.g. MS SQL, PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, Lucene, Kibana, Tableau etc).
  • Experience with statistical analysis tools desirable (R, Matlab, SPSS, etc.)
  • Extensive background in data mining and statistical analysis.
  • Able to understand various data structures and common methods in data transformation
  • Excellent pattern recognition and predictive modelling skills.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Java/Python an asset.
  • An interest in keeping up to date Keep up to date with the latest technology trends.
