The Business
  • This is a start up business based in the CBD, newly established but with huge growth on the horizon
  • The Partner will be providing one to one mentor ship, working as a team you will be looking after the clients needs together from day one
  • The Partner started his career in the mid-tier level before moving into the Big 4 for a number of years
  • The business operates entirely in the cloud, using Xero and Box for document storage, knowledge of Xero is essential to work in this practice
The Role:  Intermediate Accountant
  • The firm is growing fast, the role will be very broad and hands on in every area and responsibilities from Administration through to attending client meetings around tax advisory matters (including niche areas such as R&D tax), structuring advice and broader business advisory
  • Gain exposure to a wide range of tax issues you would find in the Big 4 including some international tax and you'll receive in depth on the job training for tax and business advice
  • Clients are diverse in industry, typically; UHNW professionals, small - medium businesses up to $25 million currently, some international clients and industries include; manufacturing, property development, construction, professional services, sales and more
  • Some experience with manufacturing clients would be highly regarded as there will be clients that require quarterly reporting on trading stock and inventory
  • The ideal candidate will be proactive, methodical, organized, willing/wanting to learn, and open to taking on any challenge big or small, the business is a start up so you will touch on every element of the client work
  • The average client fee in the practice is around $20K, clients in this portfolio will range up to $70-80K fees for a client so there is some very interesting work to be taken on
  • SMSF experience would be beneficial however not essential to your application
  • One to one mentor-ship with the Partner
  • Opportunity to learn a wide range of tax issues, small business to international tax advice
  • Attend client meetings and take on contact
  • Paperless, cloud software, Xero Specialist firm
  • You will be given client contact, be involved in meetings and really encouraged to grow and develop in this area
