The company 
3 partner firm located in central Bendigo, the firm offers general accounting and taxation services, SMSF accounting, business advisory and bookkeeping services to its clients.

The client base is made up of forward thinking team members across a wide variety of industries (compliance & advisory fees). Roughly 25% of their accounting revenue to come from compliance and the remainder from advisory. The culture is a very sociable environment with approachable partners who are genuine leaders of the industry and within the local area.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Maintain an allocated client base in conjunction with the one of the partners from end to end.
  • Mentor, train and allocate work flow for a team of up to 4 junior staff
  • Attend client meetings solely and in conjunction with Partners, providing hands on business advisory services to clients
  • Conduct tax related research
  • Contribute to the development of the practice, including business development and internal functions (social activities, training programs)
The ideal candidate
  • Positive and ambitious attitude and drive to succeed.
  • Completion of CA/CPA is desired but not necessary
  • Minimum of 3 years post-university experience in public accounting in Australia
  • Must have working knowledge of Australian Tax legislation
  • Entrepreneurial mindset 
  • Easy going and approachable attitude with impeccable presentation skills
  • Excellent communication skills are absolutely essential for this role as client contact is encouraged from the offset
  • A long-term view with a committed attitude to a career in practice is essential
