With senior leadership changes, three new roles have been created in the corporate services group.

About the role

A strong desire to provide best in class financial planning and advice to the business, that will support better decision making is the essence of all three roles; and, to this end, the importance of producing high-quality information to guide both day to day operations and strategic decision making is highly valued. What sets the experience apart is the collaborative, supportive and productive relationships with internal customers that this team strives for, in all touchpoints.

Building strong relationships with the management team and business units, delivering analysis, reporting, insight, financial guidance and investment case support, will be the primary purpose of the team and all roles.

The Associate Director Financial Planning & Advice reports to the Chief Financial Officer; and, will provide leadership for a best in class mindset across the breadth of the Financial Planning & Advice team, ensuring the delivery of a finance business partnering service line and team.

The team has a wider responsibility to provide financial analytics support, delivery of Performance Reporting, oversight of the Investment framework, and responsibility for the Annual Planning & Budgeting process. The Associate Director is part of a team of managers who are together responsible for the effective operations of the Financial and Corporate Services.

The Business Partner Team Leader reports to the Associate Director Financial Planning & Advice; and, will lead a team of three Finance Business Partners. Two of the three Finance Business Partners have been appointed from within the business, so there is an opportunity for one new Finance Business Partner.

The Team Leader will provide guidance to the Finance Business Partners who will be providing financial and commercial advisory services to a designated portfolio of business units.

About You

For all roles, you will need to be a Chartered Accountant and current CAANZ member (or equivalent). Proven experience with planning, budgeting and performance measurement in a large business or organisation will be critical; as will, solid experience with management accounting, and a good knowledge of financial accounting principles.

For the Associate Director and Team Leader roles, you will need to have demonstrated success as a people manager including the ability to build a team committed to achieving agreed outcomes, delegate responsibility, deal with performance management and enable staff to perform to their best.

Good working knowledge of business intelligence and visualisation solutions and a demonstrated ability to manage delivery of technology solutions; and, strong analytical/problem-solving skills and ability to provide pragmatic solutions is required. Highly inquisitive, you will have commercial acumen and excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to present in front of groups and the Board.
