The position:
  
This practice is on the lookout for a Junior or Intermediate level Property Lawyer with between two and five years of post-qualification experience to join their busy Property team. Ideally, you will have worked in a smaller, boutique firm where you have had exposure to a variety of work within the Property space. An understanding of Commercial law would be beneficial but is not essential.
  
Initially, this role will see you focus on Council related work including:
  • Registration of easements
  • Council third party instructions
  • Covenants
  • Bonds
  • Leasing agreements and advice
  
Other work may include:
  • Conveyancing
  • LINZ and E-dealing knowledge
  • Drafting contracts
  • Acting for developers in subdivisions
  • General leasing for private clients
  • Public Works Act Acquisitions
  • Reserves Act advice
  
You must have excellent verbal and written English and great interpersonal skills, enabling you to work effectively with clients, partners and other staff within the practice.
