  • $28.47 - $32.31 per hour, plus super (depending on experience)

The Puckapunyal Childcare Centre based in VIC, is currently recruiting for a working towards or qualified Early Childhood Teacher (ECT). This is an exciting opportunity for you to join The One Tree Defence Childcare Unit which is part of One Tree Community Services Inc.  

We are a not-for-profit organisation whose purpose is to advance education and social or public welfare. We provide early and middle childhood education and care, community services, professional support and training across Australia. 
 
One Tree Defence Childcare Unit delivers the Defence Childcare Program on behalf of the Department of Defence. The Defence Childcare Program is designed to provide childcare to Defence personnel families and local communities.

Childcare – About the Early Childhood Teacher role (ECT):
  • To design, implement and evaluate programs for children, which meet the Centre Philosophy and Policies, Government Regulations and Quality Assurance Principles;
  • To ensure the environment in which children learn and play is clean, hygienic and safe;
  • To communicate effectively with children, families and the wider community;
  • To work as an effective team member;
  • To follow Centre Policy and Government Legislation in providing a safe and hygienic environment for children and staff;
  • To participate in the Operational Management of the service where required;
  • To provide email and phone support as an ECT to other One Tree Services as required.
 
About you: Early Childhood Teacher (ECT)
  • Working towards or completed Early Childhood Teaching Qualification
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience as an ECT 
  • Solid understanding of the EYLF
  • Working with Children's Card or VIT Card
