One Tree Community Services is currently recruiting for an experienced full-time diploma qualified Room Leader to join our Millars Well childcare centre in Millars Well, W.A.
  
The role:

As the OSHC Room Leader, you will be part out our Before and After School Care environment. This will be a full-time position 37.5 hours per week, with the successful applicant doing a split shift of 2.5 hours in the morning and 5 hours in the afternoon.
This will involve the morning bus run to drop at school / after school bus run to collect children from school as well as programming and running the room. The role will also support our Vacation Care Program during the school holidays.

About Millars Well centre:

Millars Well Children’s Service is in Karratha, a town that adjoins the port of Dampier in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. The service is purpose-built with three outdoor spaces for children to explore. We are situated next to the community garden, child health clinic and local primary school.

The service consists of 105 places, catering for children up to year 6, with vacation care programs offered over the school holidays.

  • To provide educational experiences and care for children
  • To communicate effectively with children and families
  • To adhere to the services policies and procedures and work in accordance with all relevant regulations and the National Quality Framework
  • To assist in ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for children and staff
  • To reflect upon and improve your practice ensuring you are gaining knowledge and skills that will assist in providing quality services to children and families
  • To work as a part of a team, supporting and contributing to One Tree as a community in line with One Trees Philosophy and Code of Ethics
Selection Criteria: 
  • Diploma (or above) in Early Childhood Education and Care
  • Solid understanding of Early Years Learning Framework
  • Sound communication skills, written and verbal
  • Valid Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain)
  • Have a genuine passion for the sector and working with children
