About Len Taplin Childcare Service: Our Len Taplin Children’s Service is great place to work with a highly supportive team.  It has a large outdoor area and has its own art studio where children can be little artists. The staff working at the service are talented with different life skills, interests, energy. They work together in delivering amazing and fun activities for the children daily.   

About Port Hedland: Port Hedland is the largest mining town in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, located approximately 1,800km north of Perth. The town is famous for its production of Iron Ore and Salt. It has around 15,000 people from diverse cultural backgrounds. Port Hedland offers a relaxed lifestyle, close to the ocean and provides a variety of leisure activities.   

Position requirements:
  • To provide educational experiences and care for children
  • To communicate effectively with children and families
  • To adhere to the services policies and procedures and work in accordance with all relevant regulations and the National Quality Framework
  • To assist in ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for children and staff
  • To reflect upon and improve your practice ensuring you are gaining knowledge and skills that will assist in providing quality services to children and families
  • To work as a part of a team, supporting and contributing to One Tree as a community in line with One Trees Philosophy and Code of Ethics
Selection Criteria: 
  • Cert III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
  • Solid understanding of Early Years Learning Framework
  • Sound communication skills, written and verbal
  • Valid Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain)
