OneTree is currently recruiting for an experienced ECT with strong leaderships skills to join our kindergarten in Puckapunyal, VIC

The Puckapunyal Kindergarten is currently recruiting for an ECT to join a 33 place sessional kinder with the sessions running on Tues, Wed and Thurs 9.15am - 2.15pm. Programming and admin time can be negotiated around these days or on a Monday of Friday. 

The kindergarten is located on the Military Defence base in Puckapunyal. This is a unique permanent part-time (25hrs/week) opportunity for you to come on a journey with us and make your mark and have a positive impact on the local community.

Puckapunyal Kindergarten offers an extensive kinder program and the teachers and educators in the service are passionate and work hard to deliver the quality service that our children and families deserve.

About the role: 
  • To design, implement and evaluate programs for children, which meet the Centre Philosophy and Policies, Government Regulations and Quality Assurance Principles;
  • To ensure the environment in which children learn and play is clean, hygienic and safe; 
  • To communicate effectively with children, families and the wider community;   
  • To work as an effective team member; 
  • To follow Centre Policy and Government Legislation in providing a safe and hygienic environment for children and staff;   
  • To participate in the Operational Management of the service where required; 
  • To provide email and phone support as an ECT to other One Tree Services as required.
About you:
  • Early Childhood Teaching qualification (not working towards)
  • Ability to obtain a Police check for Base Pass
  • VIT card
  • Valid Working with Children Check 
  • Strong leadership skills 
  • Solid understanding of Early Years Learning Framework
  • Sound communication skills, written and verbal
  • Passionate about pedagogy
  • An advocate for children and their rights (essential)
