Early Childhood Teacher / Educational Leader
Part-Time (27.5hrs per week)

The Role:
One Tree Community Services is looking for a passionate ECT/Nominated Supervisor/Educational Leader on a Part-Time basis (27.5hrs per week), to lead the 4-year-old sessional Kindergarten team at Braybrook ELC.

Braybrook Early Learning Centre
The programs offered at Braybrook Early learning centre are developmentally appropriate and play based – giving all children the opportunity to learn and develop at their own pace.

The program is designed to meet the needs and interests of the group as a whole, as well as building on the unique strengths and interests of each individual child. We plan for and provide space for learning to occur inside and outside.

Selection Criteria:
  • Passion and enthusiasm for improving early learning and development outcomes
  • The ability to design and implement a vibrant curriculum where each child’s current knowledge, ideas, culture, abilities and interests are the foundation of a play-based program
  • The ability to create a successful, inclusive, safe and vibrant learning space where children thrive and grow to meet their potential
  • Capacity to build a culture of reflective practice and continuous improvement
  • Ability to place the needs of children and their community at the centre of practice, while aligning with approved Early Learning and Development Frameworks and the National Quality Standards, as well as One Tree’s policies and procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to consult, negotiate and liaise effectively with a diverse range of people.
  • Strong organisational skills - Innovation, creativity is a bonus!
  • Ability to work as a team, actively contributing to the organisation in line with One Tree’s Philosophy and Code of Ethics
Selection Requirements:
  • A Bachelor of Early Childhood (or equivalent)
  • Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration card
  • Valid working with Children Card or willing to obtain
  • First Aid, Anaphylaxis, Asthma and CPR Certification
