Work Health & Safety Consultant


As a WHS Consultant in the field you will be delivering Employsure's award winning WHS compliance service to small businesses across New Zealand.

The opportunity

Employsure has experienced astonishing growth over the last 9 years! Our award-winning HR/WHS & SAAS solution has seen us obtain over 27,000 clients, grow to over 900 employees and 5 offices across ANZ. This, in turn, has created exciting opportunities within our WHS Consultancy team on the North Island!  

Joining a team of over 50 Consultants, you will be conducting WHS compliance checks for our clients, making a significant impact on the successful operation of their businesses. You will be required to quickly develop relationships with clients as well as providing specialist advice around WHS issues in a face to face environment via online video platforms or in person. 

A typical day involves developing and producing a tailored WHS system which includes a hazard assessment of our clients' workplace, and the creation of a suite of health and safety documentation and reports. This means you will need to be very confident with the current WHS legislative framework in New Zealand. 
Key accountabilities
  • Travel around Wellington and greater North Island as required to clients 
  • Spend a full a day with a client to deliver Employsure's service 
  • Working with businesses to determine their WHS needs and requirements 
  • Build relationships with clients and act as a subject matter expert for all things WHS
  • Create documents including policies, manuals, procedures, reports and more
The right person will have:
  • Diploma qualified in Work Health and Safety
  • 12 months experience working within a Health & Safety environment
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Full, unrestricted New Zealand driving licence
  • Ability to travel to other areas in NZ at short notice
