Junior Financial Analyst
This position in the Financial Planning team supports successful analysis and reporting of organisational results to Zespri management, the Zespri Board, Board sub committees, and the New Zealand Kiwifruit industry.

The Junior Financial Analyst will provide support for, and assist with, a number of regular reporting and analysis outputs, as well as support other team members with forecasting, financial modelling and ad hoc analyses.
Zespri Financial Analysts need to be proficient in operating financial models both in Microsoft Excel and other forecasting tools, and developing reporting.

The Junior Financial Analyst will be dealing with a significant amount of data and calculations that directly influence payments to the kiwifruit industry:
  • Support the team to produce, analyse and report on multiple aspects of bi-monthly Group forecasts
  • Assist with reporting results and analysis to management, the Zespri Board, Board sub committees and industry bodies.
  • Year-to-date / year-to-go analysis and reporting, working closely with the Financial Accounting team
  • Assist with regular business reporting, enhancements, short and long term forecasting.
  • Ad hoc analysis and reporting to support commercial decisions and other business needs.  
Qualifications and Experience:    
  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or Business
  • Working towards CAANZ qualification is desirable
  • Strong financial analytics skills
  • Strong numerical, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Collaborate with the wider finance team to work toward common goals and a true global finance function.
  • Extremely results oriented with a strong focus on quality and meeting customer needs through analysis and reporting.
  • Advanced Excel, Database, PowerBI skills.
