Quality Systems Manager 
The Quality Systems Manager reports into the Head of Global Quality & Technical and has global responsibility for the delivery of global integrated quality management systems at Zespri.
  
This role is responsible for leading a large team across the Pre Harvest, Post Harvest and Market Access space. This is a strategic role that requires someone who can build or bring strong relationships with the industry. This is a global position that will require flexibility to work across multiple timezones.
  
Responsibilities:    
  • Scoping, design, development and implementation of a fit-for-Zespri global quality management system
  • Influencing key stakeholders to adopt best practice and acceptance of the Zespri system
  • Leadership of the Market Access, Pre-Harvest Assurance and Post-Harvest Assurance teams within New Zealand
  • Implementing a globally standardised quality management system in partnership with Zespri Global Supply (ZGS) quality teams
  • Demonstrating vision and strategic leadership to drive continual improvement to Zespri quality systems in a rapidly changing environment
  • Demonstrating commitment to sustainability as a core value of the Zespri system.
  
Qualifications and Experience:    
  • A tertiary qualification in Horticulture, Food or Science related disciplines, or significant relevant experience.
  • Strong leadership capability, with the ability to coach and enable high performing, engaged teams.
  • Demonstrated relevant experience, preferably in a fresh produce or FMCG environment. Multi-national experience will be highly regarded.
  • Scientifically literate, with an ability to understand relevant new technologies and science concepts.
  • Broad based understanding of the kiwifruit industry’s global supply chain
  • Sound understanding of fruit production and post-harvest handling
