Reliability Engineer – Fixed Plant Focus
  
With continually expanding site activity, one of our major clients is looking to appoint an experienced Reliability Engineer within their fixed plant engineering team. 

Your goal will be to provide technical support for all maintenance engineering activities within the site utilising techniques to facilitate continuous improvement of maintainable assets. The role is looking after the processing plant.

You will have the chance to develop your engineering skills further, with tasks such as: 
  • Analysing root causes of failures
  • Supporting maintenance in problem solving reliability issues
  • Reporting recommendations to improve reliability, including summations and cost estimates
  • Assisting with design, planning + installation of recommended plant changes
  • Supervising maintenance staff and producing change implementation schedules
  • Utilising your sound reliability maintenance skills, you will take account of all facets above and spend a large amount of time liaising directly with senior technical staff, site departments and external contractors to ensure both theirs and your desired outcomes are reached. 
The successful applicant will possess: 
  • Tertiary Mechanical Engineering Qualifications
  • 5 years + mining experience (essential)
  • Strong background in using maintenance reliability methods i.e. defect elimination, critical asset analysis, asset strategy development, condition monitoring, etc 
  • Perform asset failure investigations and Continuous Improvement projects through facilitation of site Defect Elimination Process.
  • Experience in developing asset maintenance strategy using RCM and PMO principles. 
  • Strong communication and people skills
  • Effective problem solver
  • Sound knowledge of the maintenance of fixed plant specifically crushing and milling circuits.
  • Strong understanding of all aspects of asset management maintenance strategies using RCM and PMO principles. 
  • Strong computer and systems skills and knowledge, ideally SAP
This role is offered on a family friendly DIDO 5/2 4/3 roster from Perth. They are 10 hour days, 7:00am to 5:00pm and an 8-hour day on the drive out day (Thursday/Friday), leaving at 3:00pm. This will be a contract position initially and there is a possibility it will transition into a permanent position if the candidate performs well. This is envisaged to occur between 3 and 6 months.
