Scotford Fennessy are looking to appoint qualified and experienced engineer for the role of Mechanical Engineer – Fixed Plant.  This diverse engineering role offers a family friendly 8 days on, 6 days off roster.  In this role, you will be involved in managing continuous improvement projects, reliability improvements, and support to the maintenance and operating teams. 
  
This is an opportunity for a bright, capable, team focused professional to make a significant impact at a market leader in WA Mining.
  
Reporting to the Engineering Superintendent, the successful candidate will have the opportunity of taking ownership of all Mechanical Fixed assets under the management of the company with an asset manager mentality.

 
WHAT A TYPICAL DAY WILL LOOK LIKE
  
Being site based, you will have the opportunity to get a deep understanding of the operation by identifying, implementing and prioritising risk mitigation activities whilst working alongside a strong group of likeminded professionals.
You will have the ability to ensure statutory compliance, asset integrity & reliability, continuous improvement and operational excellence across disciplines, alongside driving key initiative outcomes and providing guidance to mechanical resources within the team to achieve a high level of success consistently.
  
From driving cultural awareness to managing loss / defect elimination initiatives in accordance with a continuous improvement mindset, this opportunity will see you take accountability and ownership for the Classified Plant across the site regardless of department or discipline.
  
LET’S TALK ABOUT YOU
With solid experience as a site based Mechanical Engineer within mineral processing plant operations, you will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering and at least five years of practical, hands-on experience in a like for like role.
Your view on workplace safety will be of a high priority and you will have a solid commitment to continuous improvement.
You will hold a current C class manual drivers’ licence.
