APS6 Project Officer

The Role
This Government agency is looking for an experienced Project Officer/Coordinator at the APS 6 level to assist the team in establishing a new Commonwealth Government led research program. This diverse role will be required to coordinate and manage project scheduling, contract management, secretariat duties, stakeholder engagement and liaison and administration. This role supports a highly professional project team and will fulfill a Secretariat position for the overseeing Program Governing Panel. It is a great opportunity to grow and develop your project experience in a fast-paced role but in a friendly and supportive work environment.
  
Your Skills and Experience
You must be an Australian Citizen with a current police check.  You must have demonstrated experience working in a project coordination/officer role and be able to commit to the duration of the contract.

  • strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong written skills with experience in drafting minutes, briefing papers and progress reporting
  • high-level time management and organisational skills​
  • excellent attention to detail and ability to work flexibly
The Person
The ideal person will be proactive, dynamic, adaptable, very organised and friendly.  Strong customer service applied across the team and outside stakeholders is key as well as demonstrated experience solving problems and using your initiative.
