Construction Manager required with one of Australia's fastest growing Housing and Development Firms - QLD and NSW Presence - Hands on Capacity

Our client is a rapidly emerging Housing and Development Group. A brand forging a reputation of quality and success, boasting diversified interests across investment, retail and broad acre developments.

We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Manager as an addition to the established team, based in Newcastle. Reporting to the General Manager, you will manage the team of Supervisors, develop, refine and streamline building acumen together with applying strategic building methodology, mentoring and managerial influence to meet / exceed company targets moving forward.

Role Responsibilities (not limited to)
  • Manage & be accountable for Supervisors, job numbers & progress of builds
  • Regular site visits ensuring safety and quality assurance
  • Support Supervisors and managing any issues
  • Working closely with clients, suppliers and subcontractors
  • Step in an Manage builds where needed (cover annual leave etc)
  • Accurate reporting to GM of build time, OH&S, cost reports etc
Your experience
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Construction Manager or Area Manager with a Volume Builder
  • Experience Site Supervising for Volume Builder
  • Strong leadership and team building skills
  • Strong ability to problem solve and conflict resolution skills
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong connections with Suppliers and Sub-Contractors in the Hunter Region
  • Strong understanding of OH&S requirements
