The Company
A multi-national B2B import and distribution business with an impressive customer base and a substantial footprint in the New Zealand market. The business is able to demonstrate strong growth and an unerring commitment to Continuous Improvement and ongoing investment in its operations and people.

The business is focusing on supply chain optimisation and is now recruiting a Logistics Services Manager who will manage logistics and inventory management activities and drive Continuous Improvement initiatives to improve DIFOTIS and overall supply chain performance and customer delivery.

The Opportunity
As the Procurement and Planning Manager you will manage, lead and control all aspects of the purchasing, supplier relationship management and planning activities

Your responsibilities will include, though not be limited to:

  • Full responsibility for planning and purchasing across Australia and New Zealand
  • Lead, coach and develop the Purchasing Team and Demand Planner
  • Drive improvements across systems, processes and procedures
  • Ensure optimal inventory management and supply chain performance through driving Best Practice SCM
  • Lead supply planning, inventory, demand, forecasting and broader S&OP activities and strategy
  • Management of key stakeholder relationships - e.g. working closely with the DCs to ensure KPI's in DIFOT and maintaining workable inventory levels
  • Create, implement and drive a Procurement and Planning strategy for the business
  • Contribution to wider operational and commercial decision-making across the business

The Person
You are an experienced Purchasing and Planning Manager with demonstrable experience in driving improvements while maintaining a customer-centric approach. Your relationship management skills, ability to influence and drive change will set you up to succeed in a key, and highly visible role in the business. Previous experience in planning and operational purchasing is essential.

You will enjoy a wide scope of responsibilities and relish the challenge of managing multiple priorities, maintaining high standards and driving positive changes. This is an opportunity where you can really make your mark.

You will be rewarded with a competitive salary package in the region of $115000 base salary plus KiwiSaver, parking, phone, laptop, and additional employee privileges.
