In conjunction with the Group Finance Manager you will provide financial & management reporting to enable and support the future focused objectives of the business. You will provide modelling, analytical insight, research, scenario planning, and support to Business Unit (BU) Leaders, Operational and Administration staff.

Your key tasks include:  
  • Support the Group Finance Manager to ensure all BU's operating results are accurate, reviewed, analysed and reported in accordance with deadlines
  • Meet all statutory reporting by coordinating the annual statutory accounts
  • Meet all taxation reporting requirements
  • Ensure all conditions of financing agreements are met
  • Assist with the treasury function
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable functions
  • Ensure all Business results meet strict accounting principles and meet all Group Policy requirements
  • Provide and support Group Finance Manager and BU Leaders in preparation and analysis of annual capital & operating budgets
  • Review and model all aspects of the Group's performance
  • In conjunction with management provide finance support and guidance to business unit leaders, and other staff
  • Contribute towards lowering the BU’s operational and administrative costs, growing the revenue base where applicable, and increasing profitability
Your profile:

A tertiary qualification in accounting and ideally you will be or be working towards becoming a Chartered Accountant.
You will have at least 5 years’ relevant financial accounting experience gained in a commercial environment and / or large firm.
You will have good working knowledge of relevant accounting standards and principles (i.e. NZ IFRS) and NZ tax requirements. Additional experience in management reporting will be highly regarded.
In this role you will need to have a collegial, constructive approach, including the ability to foster both internal and external relationships.
