With strong performance in their categories of consumer brands both in New Zealand and internationally, our client is now looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their well established team.

About the Role:

The Group Accountant is looking for a motivated Accounts Assistant who is hungry to learn and be mentored through the business. You will have a good understanding of accounts payable, debtor management and general accounts principles.  After taking responsibility for the varied aspects of your role, you will be able to keep developing and growing in other areas of accounting. If you are part qualified or looking to start your CA, the company is very keen help and support you through the process.

The role will be full time, Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm. They have beautiful offices located in the CBD and very close to all public transport offerings. 

Duties:

  • Ownership of the accounts payable function
  • Managing Purchase Order processing and coding
  • Reconciliations, input of invoices and weekly payment runs
  • Process month end journals
  • Assist with accounts receivable and managing debtors
  • Coordinating with the wider team ensuring customer queries/issues are resolved in a timely manner
  • Daily preparation and reconciliation of several bank accounts
  • Updating and maintaining a rolling payments cashflow forecast
About You:

Ideally you will have previous Accounts Assistant or Accounts Payable experience (1-2 years minimum) or be a recent Accounting graduate.
