RN’s - An exciting career and lifestyle opportunity for a Registered Nurse to work as part of an Aged Care Clinical Leadership Team, to provide clinical care at an RN level to the residents in the residential aged car facility on the beautiful South Coast of NSW, not far from Sydney

Role:

The role involves being part of the Clinical Leadership team, to deliver and support the clinical care to residents, including supervision, coordination and delegation of resident clinical care needs to Care staff.
The RN is responsible for the liaison with and between internal stakeholders, to ensure standards and objectives for residential care are met and internal communication channels are open and functional.
  
Responsibilities:
  • lead and provide clinical support to the multi-disciplinary team, including care workers, nursing and allied health providers
  • guide and mentor the development of care staff in their skills and confidence within an accountable framework
  • support the resident’s enablement and empowerment care philosophy
  • provide advanced clinical skills and assessment/intervention and consultation
  • demonstrate the ability to work safely and competently within a team, liasing with Doctors and other allied health professionals, to ensure delivery of great customer service, clinical care and quality of services to the residents
  • assist with assessment, documentation, implementation, review of higher care residents and their care plans
  • encourage residents’ independence and the provision of holistic care
  • demonstrate great skills in time management, communication and interpersonal skills as well as problem solving skills, ability with documentation and care planning
  • assist with the auditing and review of residents’ medications
  • comply with organisational policies and procedures
  • Assist the facility to maintain compliance within all legislations and accepted professional guidelines and practices, including industrial, occupational health and safety, infection control and risk management

  Requirements:
  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Current and valid Australian National Police Check
  • Preferably 2 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse
  • Aged care nursing, experience with ACFI and Aged Care accreditation process is a bonus!
  • A genuine passion for Aged Care nursing
  • A desire to consolidate and grow your nursing skills, experience and professional development
  • A demonstrable working knowledge of the Aged Care Act 1997, including Quality of Care Principles, residents’ rights and accreditation requirements.
  • Vaccination record up to date
  • Current First Aid Certificate and Basic Life Support Certificate
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to adapt to sector specific software
