Role
The overall responsibility of this position is to coordinate and provide leadership to ensure the effective operation of the Administration Team. Working with the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Controller and Production Manager the role combines the dual functions of Administration and Bookkeeping.
  
A key function is the review and maintenance/improvement of Company processes and procedures to ensure the principles and practices of the Company comply with ISO9001/ISO14001/AS/NZ4801.
  
Specific bookkeeping tasks include:
  • Accounts payable & Receivable
  • Payroll
  • Bank and petty cash
  • Monthly reporting
  • Reconciliations
  • General ledger through to trial balance
  • BAS
  • Stock control
Candidate
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in an Administrative management capacity, where you will have gained exposure to ISO9000 quality systems, coupled with proven Bookkeeping skills covering the functions listed above.
  
Ideally your Bookkeeping experience will be supported by a qualification such as Cert IV in Bookkeeping. That experience must have equipped you with an in-depth understanding of all the bookkeeping/accounting functions listed above, as well as a sound knowledge of current bookkeeping practices.
  
If your background encompasses the manufacturing sector, it would be an advantage to your application.
  
The company uses MYOB/Xero accounting software, so a high level of competence in MYOB/Xero is a key requirement.
  
We are seeking a motivated self-starter who can operate reliably and effectively with minimal supervision. Someone who uses their initiative where appropriate to achieve results and who is willing to be a genuine team player by sharing information and assisting others to achieve common objectives.
  
Other essential skills and personal attributes include:
  • Excellent verbal and written fluency
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good planning skills, with the ability to always meet internal and external deadlines.
  • A friendly demeanour and good sense of humour
  • A typing speed of 50-60 wpm
Remuneration
The salary on offer is very market competitive and is negotiable based on the skills and experience of the successful candidate.
