The Opportunity 

With restrictions easy and summer on the way, events are back! We are looking for a talented and self driven Sous Chef to join the team in this stunning Homestead in the Western Suburbs! 

This is a hands-on role, leading a team of 8, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of kitchen operation and producing a high-quality food and an inspired Italian restaurant menu and Roman Pasticceria .

As part of the management team, there is also a vast amount to benefit from the structure, the executive team and all the positives that come from this.

You will be responsible for but not limited to;
  • In conjunction with the Head Chef actively contribute to and develop strategies that ensure the achievement of quality standards, best practice business objectives and profit targets
  • Monitor budgets, profit and loss statements and forecasts to ensure effective cost control and profitability
  • Prepare for service or functions with precision and unwavering attention to detail and in a clean and organised manner
  • Help the head chef with menu design, creating and implementing kitchen processes and systems
  • Respectfully and comprehensively manage all dietary requirement
  • Receive goods and monitor stock levels
  • Uphold the highest hygiene standards and safe work practises and ensure everyone in the team does the same
About You 

If you are a Sous Chef with at least 3 years experience in a similar role and are able to successfully demonstrate the following;
  • Dynamic, energetic and agile thinking
  • Experience in a high volume environment with diverse styles
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to create a motivating environment
  • Experience in leading and developing a team
  • Demonstrated hands-on approach with a passion for food and presentation
  • Embrace and demonstrate company values
  • Trade cooking qualifications are essential
