What we are looking for

As the Regional Director of Sales, you will be responsible for the overall business and commercial objectives along the eastern seaboard whilst managing and supporting Sales Managers and a cluster of teams across Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane

You will be tasked with mixing hands on active sales with putting strategic plans in place for acquiring new business opportunities in the market and working with your team to execute on the sales plan.

A strong grasp of the corporate hotel sales sector having previously built solid and long-lasting relationships with key contacts across this market segment, is key to this role.

 

Key responsibilities include:
  • To source and establish new business opportunities within the Corporate sector
  • To sell & ensuring maximum business in all areas
  • Recognise and act on potential business opportunities, including responsibility for tender process for relevant clients
  • Prepare client correspondence including rate letters, tenders and general correspondence
  • Managing a national portfolio including Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne

The ideal candidate will be:
  
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a business development or senior sales role in hotels is essential
  • A track record of lead generation and building business across managed accounts
  • Ability to foster team spirit with a positive, can do attitude
  • Excellent problem solving / researching skills / negotiation skills
  • Autonomous - you will need exceptional time management skills in order to balance on the road direct sales with leading on site
