A fresh and fun new cafe/bistro has opened up on the beautiful Waiheke Island. We are on the hunt for a funky, friendly foodie to lead the kitchen team!

Our client is a hidden gem on Waiheke with eclectic decor, waiting to be discovered. Opened in January 2019, the establishment has recently moved from a cafe to bistro with extended opening hours serving breakfast, lunch and continuing into the night! We are seeking a creative, trendy and full of energy Head Chef ready to take charge of a new and developing team. 

Key responsibilities:
  • Preparing and cooking a wide range of dishes to a consistently high standard
  • Contribute and assist with menu development to offer compelling and quality specials  
  • Leading a solid kitchen team of 7 - motivating and developing skills  
  • Rostering, ordering, food control and staff management
  • Min 45 hr work week
The ideal candidate will:
  • Have a natural creative flair
  • Be hands on in creating exciting and ever-changing menus 
  • Have a passion for quality food and customer experience 
  • Be a motivated team player with excellent communication skills
