The role!

To adapt the company's core philosophy, which puts customers at the heart of the process, encouraging them to realise their very best quality of life. To thoroughly assess and strategically manage a portfolio of Income Protection claims whilst utilising all relevant stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes within company service standards.

Utilising effective interview techniques, (which you will adapt as part of your intensive training) you will consider the whole picture, including claims history, diagnosis, condition of claim and set out clear case goals. Effectively liaise with treating doctors and rehab specialists to put in place a clear, functional and achievable return to work strategy. Determination of eligibility and entitlement including any early detection of non disclosure will lead to an effective and holistic claims review, taking into account all impacting factors such as policy terms, loadings, exemptions, financials, medical and occupational information. 

The person!

The ideal newest team member will ideally showcase the following:
  • Knowledge of Life Insurance claims either Group or Retail (preferred)
  • Knowledge of dispute resolution, Injury Management and RTW/rehab strategy
  • Ability to assess financial information to ascertain pre disability income 
  • Investigative techniques and ability to engage specialists as required
  • Medical terminology, familiar with conditions, treatments and recovery
  • Exceptional communication skills 
  • Ability to embrace and contribute to change and continual learning and development
  • Confident, professional yet empathetic customer service skills
  • Knowledge of financial, legal, occupational and rehab process beneficial
