The Organisation 

To ensure a best in class and robust Finance function across the group, the CEO and board is seeking to appoint a newly created Chief Financial Officer to the executive leadership team.
This cutting-edge technology group represents the combination of multiple successful businesses. Through the creation of this group, significant value has been created by bringing these complimentary businesses together and realising operational savings through scale. Additionally, this combined group is now able to win larger contracts, significantly scale and take advantage of favourable market conditions which has resulted in fast and exciting growth to date with no signs of slowing down. It is expected that this run rate will continue that will eventuate in a successful exit in the form of an IPO or trade sale.

The Role

As the CFO, you will be responsible for the financial stewardship of business and must have both a strong technical understanding of finance, as well as a proven track record in elevating your view to partner with the CEO and executive team on commercial business decisions.
You will be required to prepare the business financially for exit via a Sale or IPO process, providing all supporting documentation to the process and being a prominent force within investor relations and the management of external relationships.
Proactive leadership of the existing team at all levels and alignment with the business goals is crucial for success in this role, you will be expected to lead from the front, challenge business norms and focus on value creation at every turn.

The Person

The ideal candidate for this position is an experienced finance executive with a strong background in leadership and execution.
You will possess an ability to think both technically and commercially to deliver excellent outcomes for the business. Your ability to deliver solutions in flight and at pace whilst ensuring they are wise decisions will be proven throughout your career to date.
You will be a hands on executive happy to take the lead on execution and strategic work, whilst taking your team on the journey of value creation for the business.
Experience raising capital from institutional lenders and experience within a public accounting environment is essential for the role, also highly desirable would be experience leading a business through a sale or IPO process.
And more generally we require an executive that inspires confidence, creates trust both internally and externally and is motivated to take the business and their career to the next level.
As the new CFO you will be expected to build rapport and trust with the existing finance team and wider business quickly to ensure cohesion and successful outcomes for the business.
