A great Wellington-based tech startup is expanding and looking for an Intermediate Developer for their .NET back end development team. They are a leader in financial reporting and planning, providing software to the largest financial consultancies in the world. 

A Kiwi born and operated organisation, they are actively expanding their international client base, leading to another year of consistent growth projected for 2021. To support additional users and expanding functionality, they are extending their development function. You will be hands-on, with a focus on a server-side C# ASP.NET and AWS stack. Any Front End technologies, particularly React, would be ideal but not required

We are looking for an intermediate level developer passionate about web application development to join our product team in building award-winning financial business intelligence reports. Experience with financial products or scaling organisations would be preferable, but not a deal-breaker.

You will be responsible for building server-based software, web services, and related client software in our software products and play a significant role in the development of integrations with our application partner APIs, ensuring secure authorisation, data accuracy and a consistent user experience.

Skills And Qualifications: 
  • Intermediate level experience with C#, ASP.NET MVC, Visual Studio, SQL Server, CSS, HTML.
  • Bonus: Prior experience working within a front end environment built on React or a similar modern JavaScript framework.
  • Tertiary qualified with a degree in Computer Science (or something similar), or a few years of solid experience – we’re expecting you to get up to speed quickly.
  • Self-motivation and pragmatism – you love working in a fast-paced environment and understand how to balance competing priorities and understand the benefits of delivering value to end-users in an iterative manner.
  • Excellent communication skills – you will be able to clearly present your ideas and rationale from a remote work setting.
  • Experience with Git.
  • Knowledge of OWASP security principles.
  • Experience with modern CI/CD processes and DevOps.
  • You must hold a genuine desire to learn fast, work with a talented team but also contribute to our customer's first ways of working.
