3 Month Contract for Site Engineer roles with reputable concreting company

  • Project located in Bathurst region with 2-3 days per week on site

Our client is a reputable concreting company who subcontracts to Tier 1 and 2 companies throughout New South Wales.

Due to ongoing growth in their business, they are looking for a Site Engineer for a 3 month contract to work on a large project in the Bathurst region.

Our client's head office is on the Central Coast and the Site Engineer will be required on site for 2-3 days per week in the Bathurst region and 1-2 days on the coast. All travel expenses including LAFHA, accommodation and fuel will be paid for and the opportunity to be considered for a permanent role.

The Site Engineer must have experience delivering concrete projects for reputable builders and has the technical skills and the collaborative work approach to contribute to the success of a project and work within a professional team.

The Site Engineer responsibilities include:
  • Interpret drawings and design specifications. 
  • Undertake drawing take offs including concrete volumes
  • Procurement and coordination of materials, plant and labour according to the ARC schedule
  • Working with a Reinforcement scheduler to organise REO deliveries and trouble shooting as required.
  • Procurement of materials, plant and labour
  • Create progress claims and variations to contract.
  • Verifying supplier and subcontractor invoices and variations
  • Quality control and using Builder Trends to upload photos of progress Completion and submission of Company QA documents.
  • Attend meetings to discuss project progress, program and assist in resolving issues.
  • Promote and implement WHS processes and procedures
To be successful, you will have:
  • Qualified tradesman or teritary qualifications in civil engineering or construction management
  • At least 3-5 years experience
  • Experience on major concrete projects
  • Strong computer skills with expeirence on BuildSoft and/or BuildTrend or similar programs
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Good communicator
