About the company:
Our client is a national, highly regarded, government funded disability service. Supporting thousands of people living in various communities across Australia.

About the role:
Reporting directly into the Executive Leadership Team and working closely with operational leaders, this position is a greenfield role where you will be able to truly make your mark. You will be responsible for national vendor consolidation and advising on procurement and contract management opportunities. You will have a heavy focus on fleet re-outsourcing, property lease and maintenance contracts, as well as agency contracting and sourcing agreements. Experience in these categories will be highly regarded.
  
The SPM provides expert advice and co-ordinates inputs from various stakeholders from opportunity identification, concept-design, approval, procurement and implementation to the close-out in order to help ensure the most cost-effective solutions are adopted and risks minimised.

 Duties:
  • Managing an annual budget of $60M with targets of delivering $2m savings per annum
  • Undertaking cost control, cost forecasting and elemental budgeting with risk and opportunity reviews monthly.
  • Maintaining supplier relationships. 
  • Support the Executive Leadership Team by managing reporting, systems, and key projects.
  • Identify opportunities for process simplification and service improvement within procurement.
  • Actively engage with key stakeholders to identify major pain points and areas where Procurement can add value and costs savings.
  
Skills & experience:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in fields such as business, commerce, or related discipline.
  • Previous experience in a Not-For-Profit will be highly regarded
  • Experience in the establishment of procurement contracts across all stages including needs identification, planning, preparation of documentation, evaluation, negotiation and contract establishment.
  • Experience in property and fleet procurement.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting complex negotiations at a senior level with suppliers and key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in the development, implementation and management of fleet and property policies and procedures.
  • Proven ability for strategic, analytical, and innovative thought and action, and the ability to think laterally when analysing and identifying business solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to develop and influence people and processes to achieve optimal results through maintaining strong effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders including peers, employees, and suppliers.
