Our client a leading provider in the field of transport and rail is seeking to employ 3 Network Rail officers on contract until January 30th 2022. These roles work on a rotating 24-hour shift basis and upon commencement your first 7 weeks will be a comprehensive training process with 3 weeks in the classroom and 4 weeks on the job.
The business works on major transport and rail projects both locally and regionally from their Newcastle head office.
Reporting into the Regional Control Manager, these roles will be responsible for coordinating all network infrastructure activities such as track work, train movements and implementing daily train plans on days of operation. It is vital that all activities comply with strict safety plans applicable to the rail industry.
You will enjoy working on a variety of complex multidisciplinary brownfield, greenfield, Station construction and heavy & light rail Permanent Way projects. You will be required to maintain excellent communication protocols at all times, be resilient and stay calm when dealing with emergency situations and managing safety critical information to best address unforeseen circumstances in the rail network.
  
Key Responsibilities will include:
  • Control and coordinate rail traffic movements
  • Control and coordinate incident responses
  • Monitor and record rollingstock locations
  • Implement safe working rules and regulations for network control activities
  • Develop out-of-course rail traffic plans and schedules
  • Program operator path requests/amendments to provide maximum efficiency & safety for customer requirements, working with adjacent rail networks
