Newcastle Airport is the sixth largest regional airport and has been welcoming visitors from across the globe for more than 70 years.  Their long-term strategy guarantees exciting future growth and sustainability for the business and the Region.  In this newly created position, they are seeking an experienced Airport Customer and Operations Advisor to join the team.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be the right-hand person to the operations and security teams.  This dynamic role will see you drive and deliver the highest levels of customer experience for the travelling community, lead the training and development of the Airport Operations Officers and be central to the creation, implementation and review of operational procedures, guidelines and tools.  This hands-on role will utilise your outstanding customer service knowledge and expertise, accompanied with your ability to work under pressure with competing deadlines.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Collaborating with the Operations Manager to design, develop, deliver and review competency-based training programs and assessment methodologies
  • Support the development of a data driven customer experience strategy
  • Supporting the development, maintenance, and delivery of emergency management planning
  • Assisting with the Operations functions in relation to audits, incident management and reporting
  • Lead the driver management system and fleet coordination

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar operations role within an Airport, desirably with terminal experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of airport operations and systems
  • Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service for internal and external stakeholders
  • Extensive experience in personnel management and training      
  • In depth understanding of safety needs and legislation within airports
  • Previous experience in emergency management
