ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Business Analyst, this newly created role is primarily responsible for end-to-end financial and cost accounting tasks. In addition to preparing and/or submitting the end of month financials for review, this opportunity will allow you to utilise your experience within manufacturing/production and demonstrate your ability to work comfortably under pressure.  You will be recognised and rewarded for your contribution by the strong and supportive management team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • General ledger control, including sub-ledgers, and running month-end close
  • Capital expenditure appraisals and reporting
  • Fixed asset register maintenance
  • Production/cost accounting
  • Financial and management reporting requirements
  • Forecasting and budgeting reporting/analysis
  • Assist with the migration of Navision to the latest platform
  • Support end-to-end for accounts payable, receivable, payroll and expense processing
  • Support Company tax; Payroll tax; GST; FBT
  

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
  • 5+ years of production accounting experience with a medium to large manufacturing business
  • Commerce/Accounting degree with relevant professional qualification (CPA/CA)
  • In-depth understanding of job costings
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent analytical, organisational and conceptual skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • An ability to identify and resolve problems complemented with initiative and follow-up
