Due to a strong pipeline of new projects in the water space, this  International Engineering consultancy seeking an experienced Water Engineer to join their Newcastle team.

It is ideal that this person have a breadth of experience across technical engineering capabilities (i.e. design management, process engineering, water/wastewater network planning, asset management for water utilities). 

Key responsibilities of the role include:
  • Project manage water and wastewater projects
  • Design management including development and execution of drawings, data sheets and functional
  • Perform calculation checking & equipment vendor drawing reviews
  • Participation in reviews like CHAIR and HAZOP
  • Maintain strong relationships with key clients
To be considered for the role, you will possess:
  • Degree in a relevant Engineering field
  • Must have 3 - 8 years of relevant experience in the design of water and wastewater treatment projects
  • Hands on experience in Mass Balance/Design basis//Equipment Sizing/PFD/P&ID/Hydraulics/PDS.
  • Working experience with process modelling software, preferably BIOWIN
  • Working experience with hydraulic network modelling software, preferably InfoWorks, Water/Sewer GEMS
  • High level of communication skills and ability to effectively engage internal and external stakeholders
  • Genuine commitment to safety and the ability to lead by example
