This long standing and successful Newcastle company is a leader in the construction field. They look after their employees and offer a great service to their established and loyal client base. A rare opportunity has become available for an experience Accounts Clerk to join their team! 

The Position
Positioned within this cohesive accounts team and reporting into an Accounts Manager, you will be part of a small team with shared responsibilities across the following key areas:

• Processing a high volume of invoices for payment, including entering invoices into system, matching to purchase order, coding and preparing payment runs 
• Verifying and posting of customer receipts 
• Generating invoices to be sent to customers 
• Account reconciliation
• Bank reconciliation
• Providing back up payroll support

The successful candidate with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a high volume accounts payable environment, preferably in a stock or inventory environment. Experience in accounts receivable & payroll is also preferred but not essential. A good working knowledge of Excel is essential. The successful candidate will be a good problem solver, team player and be organised in their approach to work.
