Due to their continued growth, they are looking for a Services Manager to join their team of construction professionals and take responsibility for all services related to the projects, from design phase through to commissioning and handover.  Services include electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, fire, air conditioning and more.

The Service Manager responsibilities include:
  • Contribute to the design and scope of works to ensure all services suppliers, materials and subcontractors meet the required legislative and client requirements.
  • Liaise with Authorities, Consultants, Architects and Engineers in relation to services.
  • Review Consultants and Subcontractor tender documents for Services in regard to design and pricing and also to identify risk or compliance issues.
  • Review and contribute to the project planning to ensure the timeline for supply and installation of services is correct.
  • Provide guidance and support to the Pre-Construction and Project Teams.
  • Issue RFI's and Site Instructions to Consultants and Subcontractors.
  • Perform Site Inspections to ensure the materials and installation meet the quality requirement.
  • Review SWMS and ITPs in relation to Services.
  • Ensure services are installed with no or minimum defects.
  • Ensure all Services meet the project objectives in relation to quality, WHS, budget and installation timeline.
The successful applicant will have:
  • Tertiary or trade qualifications in Services, such as Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic or Fire.
  • At least 10 years experience in the commercial building industry.
  • At least 5 years in supervising Services.
  • Experience in services for Health and Aged Care Projects would be an advantage.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills in both design and construction phase.
  • A team player with a "can do" attitude.
