Our client is a highly regarded NSW property company that has been established in the local market for over 20 years. The Directors of the business are dedicated to providing a high quality service to their clients and partners across multiple sectors.

The business has experienced continued growth, which has resulted in winning a number of industry awards.
As a result, they are now seeking a Financial Controller to join their management team based on the Central Coast.

As the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for all aspects of financial reporting, preparation and analysis of monthly management reports, preparation and presentation of budgets and forecasts and compliance with all statutory regulations.

This role will also see you support the CFO by contributing to the strategic direction of the business and working to ensure the company meets their objectives

Your key responsibilities:

  • Manage the finance team. This includes recruitment and performance management
  • Co-ordinate and manage the preparation of full year and half year accounts
  • Administer/manage the analysis and commentary of monthly results for Directors
  • Co-ordinate and manage the annual budget process and quarterly forecast process
  • Drive best practice finance function efficiencies which will include the integration of acquired finance functions and development of finance systems
  • Assist with the management of all finance relationships, including the management of relationships with banks, insurance and financial institutions 
  • Oversee and report on Cash Flow for the business
  • Work with Project Managers to assist with Job Costing
  • Complete Statutory Financial Statements.
Ideally you will have:

  • Accounting degree accompanied with (Chartered or CPA)
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role, ideally within a construction company or similar
  • Experience implementing and working with an ERP accounting system
  • Strong Excel/reporting skills
  • Sound administrative and time management skills
  • Experience working within a project environment
  • Strong relationship building skills.
