Our client is a disability service that is expanding the team, there is an opportunity for an experienced Senior Psychologist to join the team and assist in growing the service delivery in the region.
This role will involve;

As the Senior Psychologist you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, to deliver evidence-based interventions and behaviour support via NDIS, aged care, workers compensation or Medicare frameworks. The role will entail outreach service delivery from clinic-based and community-based settings both in the Canterbury/Bankstown district, and around Sydney Metropolitan.
  • Provide high quality assessment and intervention for clients within the context of Psychological Health care in a professional, confidential and culturally safe manner
  • Undertaking comprehensive functional behaviour assessments
  • Developing person-centred Behaviour Support Plans, and working within a multidisciplinary team to implement recommendations
  • Training and supporting colleagues, providers and families to implement Behaviour Support Plans and related strategies
  • Proving counselling and intervention strategies to clients
  • Deliver education sessions to clients participating in health education programs and in-service education in areas relevant to service provision as required
  • Incorporate a holistic approach to health care that incorporates health promotion activities according to community and organisational priorities 
The requirements for this role include;
  • Qualification in Psychology
  • Full AHPRA registration as a registered Psychologist with minimum two years’ experience
  • Must have experience in writing and implementing behaviour support plans under NDIS
  • Experience with Restrictive Practice
  • Experienced in functional behaviour assessment
  • Providing evidence based interventions including therapy, CBT, DBT, mindfulness, narrative exposure therapy.
  • Working with challenging behaviours, personality disorders, chronic pain and disabilities
  • Administering assessments such as WISC, WAIS, WMS, WIAT etc.
  • Car and unrestricted licence

Additional Information 
  • A number of probity checks are required including holding a current working with children and undertaking a National police checks.
