An exciting opportunity has arisen with a long-term client. Our client has been a key player in providing IT Infrastructure Managed Services over many years and more recently expanding into the Professional Services and Consulting space. Their client based is predominantly the financial services sector.  
They are looking for a strong Team Leader (Implementation Services). This person will be responsible for a team (around 6 professional services engineers) focused on delivering technical project services.  The role has both a leadership and hands-on delivery component (around 50/50). 

The position provides guidance, encouragement, reward and recognises team members to ensure the health and success of each person in the team. The position is responsible for managing the project delivery resources and will work with project managers, product management, sales, architecture, support and finance to ensure customer requirements are met.
Our Client operates within a hybrid cloud environment that is constantly evolving. In this environment you will be leading a team deploying solutions across a diverse stack of technologies from vendors including Cisco, Checkpoint, Redhat, Microsoft, VMware, IBM (system p and i) and many more.
  • Lead the implementation services team to bridge the business requirements from the client to deliver innovative solutions to customers on time – ensure deadlines are met, quality work is delivered etc.
  • Manage the team’s workload
  • Manage the team’s performance through regular 1:1's, encouragement and support, constructive 2-way feedback, reward and recognition including setting and tracking objectives, conducting mid-year, annual performance and salary reviews
  • Manage escalations of the team ensuring team member’s questions are answered in a timely manner and that the issue is resolved to the customer’s satisfaction
  • Maintain high level of client satisfaction and measure satisfaction levels
  • Manage and monitor Client Service Level Agreements to ensure that SLA's are being met
  • Actively engage with other Team Leads and Managers to ensure a consistent customer experience
  • Support the Head of Services and perform management duties when the Head of Services is absent or out of the office
Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
  • A good working knowledge of vSphere, Wintel, Azure, O365 and Networking will be critical for success in this position
  • Hybrid Cloud knowledge, skills and experience are required
  • Strong team leadership and management skills coupled with the ability to be hands-on technical
  • Ideally come from a MSP or professional services background
  • Excellent analytical skills using structured logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions
  • Ability to anticipate, identify and define problems by seeking root causes and developing and implementing practical and timely solutions
  • Strong communication both verbal and written
  • Effective interpersonal skills at all levels with strong influencing skills
  • Ability to manage conflict effectively
  • Ability to prioritize, delegate and direct others to ensure SLAs and customer satisfaction is achieved
  • ISO and ITIL frameworks would be beneficial
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Desire to learn and adapt to new technology
  • Must be resourceful and demonstrate a high level of self-motivation with the ability to work effectively as a team member and alone
  • Ability to meet deadlines and generally operate with a sense of urgency and expediency
