The Role


Our multi-disciplinary Medical Centres provide affordable and accessible triage services to our patients across Australia. To assist us in delivering this service, we are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at Southport on casual basis. Working primarily within our new service, Immediate Care, you will provide triage at a high level, prioritise patients to receive quality care within a designated time frame and work closely with the GP in a supportive team environment.
Additionally there is opportunity to work within our fully equipped treatment room as a valued team member to provide the following services: 
  • Assisting Health Care Professionals with Treatment Room procedures including excision of lesions, plastering and assessments.
  • Wound dressings and removal of sutures.
  • Performing ECGs and other tests such as spirometry and audiograms.
  • Venepuncture.
  • Immunisations (EENs).

About You

You will be an experienced AHPRA Registered, Registered Nurse with previous experience in a community setting with experience or a strong aptitude for triage. Suitable candidates will possess:
  • Well-developed assessment skills.
  • Understanding of the triage process.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Capacity to multi-task and prioritise.
  • Neatly presented.
  • Evidence of vaccination/immunity history for Hepatitis B, MMR, dTpa, Varicella and vaccination/screening for TB.
  • Eligibility to work in Australia required.
