My Client

My client is a global business who specialise in the manufacture, sales, supply, export and installation of quality products used in Commercial and Residential Landscaping and across a wide range of sporting facilities and arenas. 

About the role 

In the new financial year the business is going to look for a General Manager to run the local Australian subsidiary. You would be responsible for running a wide ranging cross-functional role you would take ownership of;
  • Management of the day to day manufacturing and operations of the organisation, working closely with the Plant Manager overseeing production, procedures and process, ensuring health & safety and best in class practices are adhered to.
  • Full P&L management, working closely with the CFO to ensure smooth financial management, thorough pricing procedures, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Oversee the achievement of sales revenue and profit performance of the business by working closely with the National Sales Manager, identifying growth opportunities, and market trends that could represent sales opportunities.
  • Assist in Marketing activity - improving the website and developing a order processing application.
The successful applicant will have
  • Proven experience in a cross-functional general management role
  • You MUST have experience working in a manufacturing led business preferably from one of the following backgrounds:
    • Textiles & Carpets
    • Plastics & Polymers
  • An understanding of the Commercial, Residential and Sporting industries is very helpful.
  • A self-motivated individual who sees themselves as a self-starter able to work in an autonomous environment and enjoy the challenge and responsibility.
