Due to the nature of engagement, Australian Citizenship and Baseline security clearance are essential requirements.


Services include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Support the management of risks, including the development of contingency plans, assignment of owners, mitigation and due dates, undertake regular risk reviews and report current high risks to the Project Board as they are identified via highlight report
  • Support liaison with stakeholders, managing delivery dependencies and issues, including assignment of owners, treatments and controls and report high level issues to the Project Board as they are identified via highlight report
  • Support the overall progress and use of resources and initiate corrective action where necessary, foreshadowing upcoming resource needs and actioning engagement well ahead of start dates
  • Taking an action and risk based approach to deliver outcomes
  • Support the Program Manager with program management activities including planning and delivery based on robust business cases and in partnership with Health business areas.
  • Work with the Program team to administer and coordinate a range of program activities and act as a point of contact for stakeholders to ensure clear timely and effective communication and coordination.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with technical professionals, team members and stakeholders. Assist board members to implement decisions that focus on addressing risks to delivery.
  • Ensure the successful adoption of project deliverables by the people that will use them.
  • Assist in the production of program reports and artefacts through the project lifecycle to meet expected business outcomes, schedules, costs and quality criteria.
  • Identify and manage changes to projects in accordance with established processes and standards, and manage information flows across projects.
  • Plan and deliver projects using the department’s PRINCE2 and MSP frameworks and an Agile product development approach.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as directed by management, as required.

Essential criteria
  • Demonstrated experience providing highly organised coordination, stakeholder engagement and/or administrative support to projects or programs in a government setting
  • The ability to analyse information, with strong attention to detail, in order to provide up to date data for use in reports and with producing project and ICT systems documentation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, particularly with problem solving and communicating effectively through both verbal and written communications.
  • The ability to organise priorities and deal with significant and contentious issues, negotiate and liaise with stakeholders and an understanding of Department's Business context, priorities, drivers and desired outcomes.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and proficiency in MS Project
