Exciting opportunity for an experienced Technical Architect to join a Federal Government project on a long-term contract

In this role, as a Technical Architect, you will act as a validation and quality assurance expert and review the functionality of existing systems. You will conduct requirement analysis, define test strategy & design and lead execution to guarantee superior outcomes. You will also be required to design an optimal test environment to simulate real-time scenarios. This position is available in both, Canberra and Melbourne. 
 
Ideal Candidate: 
 
Essential
  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
  • At least 15 years of experience with IT.
Desirable
  • At least 10+ years of experience working in test automation using selenium for web applications and APIs. Expertise in building different automation frameworks such as data-driven, behaviour driven and hybrid frameworks
  • Expertise in defining the automation framework and customize the automation according to the needs
  • Technical experience in creating automation plans and regression suites
  • At least 5 years of experience in using structured RDBMS and implementing automation frameworks for data matching across databases (DB2, Postgres etc…)
  • Continuous Integration skills and knowledge of Jenkins, Github and/or Artifactory, Confluence, JIRA
  • Experience working in Agile and continuous testing
  • Ability to work independently
  • Good working knowledge in AWS
  • Have experience with building CI/CD pipelines using OpenShift
  • Ability to work in a team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment
  • Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment
The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
