MTP Services is seeking experienced Project Schedulers to develop a new schedule management function for our fed gov client in Melbourne!

MTP Services are seeking enthusiastic project schedulers to join a small team in the development of a new Schedule Management function in our Fed Gov clients program. You will play a strong role in the design, build and running of this critical enabling function to support our clients Data and Analytics capability.

As this is a new function, you will help design, build and deploy a range of processes utilising existing tools/systems which support work management and scheduling with a focus on innovation and value delivery. 

You will be responsible for working closely with a wide range of stakeholders to co-ordinating and delivering detailed project schedules for complex, technical or sensitive projects that impact on strategic or operational outcomes for the agency, facilitate strategic decision making, and deliver optimal sequencing of work to deliver the right outcomes at the right time. You will have demonstrated previous experience working in project, program and/or portfolio environments.

You will;
  • Construct project and work schedules detailing measurable milestones, outcomes and the link to delivering strategic objectives, monitor project and work progress and manage priorities
  • Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers and other internal and external stakeholders
  • Assess project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives
  • Analyse data and prepare reviews
  • Plan, organise, lead and manage the Program resource requirements for any given engagement, engaging with a range of stakeholders to develop estimations
  • Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders across a range of complex or sensitive issues to communicate information, negotiate, influence desired outcomes to achieve work area and agency goals
  • Any other duties as required
Skills required;
  • Strong Microsoft Project skills
  • EPM (MS Project Server)
  • Conducts detailed planning and scheduling
  • Scope Management
  • Undertakes Planning and Administration
  • Identifies, analyses and responds to risks
  • Delivers customer advice
  • Leads strategic planning processes
  • Manages relationships
  • Team Foundation Server (TFS) is desirable
