Techforce Personnel are a specialist recruitment partner to the Mining, Civil, Construction and Oil & Gas industries across Australia. With over 25 years' experience supplying qualified and experienced Professional and Trades personnel, we have an exciting and immediate opportunity for an experienced Estimator to join a stable and well regarded industry leader.
As the Estimator, you will prepare and coordinate accurate estimates of the total cost of civil, infrastructure and construction projects on time and in accordance with the required technical and company standards.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Management of company tender system within the guidelines for estimating
  • Management of the scheduling and tracking of quotes/tenders both during the pre and post tender phases
  • Provision of accurate estimating, costing, supply for work scopes across Civil, Infrastructure ( Roads/Rail) and Construction work packages.
  • Preparation and distribution of work scopes for personnel involved in the preparation of the tender submissions
  • Ensuring delivery deadlines are met, along with achieving beneficial commercial outcomes
To be considered, you must possess the following:

  • A solid background of Estimation experience, working in a relevant sector
  • Formal qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or Quantity Surveying
  • Proven leadership, planning and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated experience in interpretation of drawings, specifications and technical data
  • Proven success pricing winning "first principle" bids as an Estimator for Civil / Infrastructure tenders for mining sector construction projects in Australia
  • Strong computer skills in the Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong commitment to safety, the environment and quality
  • Ability and confidence to participate in effective internal reviews and client meetings
  • Ability to grow existing client relationships
