AssetOn are currently looking for an experience Planning and Overhauls Superintendent. This role is Fly in, fly out to Central Bowen Basin.

About our client
Our client is a leading global mining company, with significant investments within Australia and particularly in Queensland. Every year they produce the highest quality hard coking coal, which is used in steel production for critical building and infrastructure around the world.

About the role
The Planning and Overhauls Superintendent role is the key scheduler, this will be fly in fly out to Central Bowen Basin. Responsible for working with the team to ensure the efficient running of sub-function operations through to resolving planning issues and identify improvement opportunities. You would be required to deliver aligned plans and schedules as per SAP processes. Strong relationship building will be required to enable planning and scheduling of work management activities against maintenance strategies, plans and quality standards. 

You will also:
  • Ensure compliance to SAP Work Management Process is effective and follows site requirements.
  • Responsible for planning and scoping for overhauls and monitoring the project progress.
  • Delivery of all work management plans and schedules.
  • Chair weekly work schedule meeting to ensure maintenance processes and is supported by effective coordination and communication.
  • Responsible for accurate weekly work schedules are produced, aligned with planning window and signed off by relevant personnel.
  • Ensure work schedules and plans enable effective deployment of work resources.
  • Liaising with work centre owners to ensure that work centre capacities are updated accurately in SAP systems.
  • Participate in Budget Planning meetings.
  • Ensure quality and completeness of work management master data to support planning and scheduling processes.
Essential criteria:
  • Minimum an Engineer Degree or equivalent
  • 5 years Maintenance Planning experience
  • Management of equipment overhauls
  • Experience using SAP 
  • Previous Project experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to build business partnerships and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders 
  • Background in mining (Underground desirable however not essential)
