Our global client is a strong player in electrical engineering equipment and solutions in electrical power control.
These positions in the "Generation Transmission & Distribution Team" will require that candidates will have the knowledge and confidence be able to conduct technical discussions with customers and co-develop solutions with them, at least at a high level, as part of the sales process. The preferred candidate will be someone with enough of an engineering background to be able to hold these discussions about power systems protection and automation products and systems. 
Ideally with and an Electrical Engineering Degree , technical expertise in power systems and some automation with the ability to speak with key players in the Power industry to bring product solutions to them.

NSW role looks after  NSW , QLD & ACT- office based on the Metro Line in the Hills.

Role Responsibilities
  • - Execute sales strategies to exceed established sales targets and contribute to divisional growth plans
  • - Establish new, and maintain existing, relationships with customers in conventional power stations and power transmission and distribution utilities. Responsible for the relationship with Power Generation, Transmission, and Distribution customers in VIC , TAS & SA
  • - Develop and maintain customer relationships via regular customer visits
  • - Effectively manage and interpret customer requirements
  • - Identify customer’s needs and co-develop solutions with the customer with a consistent focus on progressing the opportunity to become a sale
  • - Prepare quotations and tender responses
  • - Record and maintain client contact data
  • - Co-ordinate sales projects and ensure that all opportunities are entered and kept up to date in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool
  • - Liaise and coordinate with other members of the sales team and with the specialist Technology Managers to provide clients with pre-sales and post-sales technical and commercial support
  • - Identify opportunities to expand the existing product portfolio with new products and services
  • - Develop and maintain specialised product and application knowledge relating to the assigned products and services portfolio
  • - Support marketing initiatives by attending trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events
  • - Prepare and provide reports on various sales, market and product matters including sales opportunities, competitor activity, competitor products, product comparisons, and market intelligence.
  • - Liaise with customers, suppliers, and relevant service department representatives to ensure that product support matters are addressed and executed to the satisfaction of all parties
  • - Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes
Relevant Experience
  • - Hold a recognised Bachelor of Electrical Engineering Degree
  • - Demonstrate professionalism and result- oriented customer focus
  • - Have proven sales, negotiation, and written communications skills
  • - Have technical expertise and experience in the power system protection and automation field
  • - Able to adapt and apply new technology to increase sales and customer base
  • - Have technical expertise and experience in the power system protection and automation field
