One Queenslander will be diagnosed with cancer every 20 minutes. Cancer Council Queensland is dedicated to improving quality of life for people living with cancer, through research, patient care, prevention and early detection.
Event Information: Cancer Council’s campaigns.
Start Date: Subject to negotiation with student, however before April if possible.
Location: Cancer Council Queensland’s Sunshine Coast Regional Office, Duporth Avenue, Maroochydore 4558
Shift duration: Minimum 4-6hrs per week. Hours are flexible beyond this point and potential hands on hours at events are also a possibility.
How many days required: Subject to negotiation with student.
Preferred days: Subject to negotiation with student. Event work could potentially fall on weekend days.
Intern duties:
Assisting the Coordinator and Team Leader with logistical aspects of events where required.
· Data entry
· Attending events
· Manual tasks (must be able to carry out these tasks)
· Limited local travel with Coordinator as required.

-Over 18
-Studying event management
-Conduct activities in accordance with Cancer Council Queensland policies, procedures and management instruction as and when required.
-Work collaboratively with your team in pursuit of the overall organisational mission.
-Work collaboratively with other members of Cancer Council Queensland to ensure support of, and excellence in, the delivery of all Cancer Council promotions and activities.
-Other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
-CCQ induction training & refresher training as required
